Fasting Timer: privacy policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026.
This policy covers the Android app Fasting Timer (Digiuno in Italian, package dev.baldarn.digiuno), developed by Lorenzo Farnararo.
In short
The app does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. It has no account, does not use the internet, and contains no ads, analytics or third-party libraries that track you.
Data handled on your device
The app stores only on your phone:
- the start and end times of your fasts, the goal you chose and any notes you write;
- the app preferences: default protocol, whether notifications are on, theme.
The app never sends this data off your device. The developer has no access to it in any way.
Export and backup
If you choose to export a CSV file or create a JSON backup, the file is saved where you decide or shared with the app you pick. From then on it is handled by you and by whatever service you use to keep it.
The app is excluded from Android’s automatic backup to Google Drive: your fasts are never uploaded to the cloud. Data is only copied if you transfer everything directly from one phone to another (cable or direct connection) while setting up a new device. The developer never receives this data.
Permissions
- Notifications: to tell you when you reach your fasting goal. You can deny or revoke it at any time.
- Run at startup: to reschedule the reminder after the phone restarts.
The app does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone or file access.
Deleting your data
You can delete all data by uninstalling the app, or from Android settings under the app’s Storage with “Clear data”. You can also delete individual fasts from the History screen.
Health
Fasting Timer is a time-tracking tool and is not a medical device. It does not provide health advice.
Children
The app is not intended for people under 18.
Changes
If the app changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before the new version is released.
