I need a second brain, but I want my data kept local
I feel the need for a second brain.
Scattered information
Messages, emails, documents: all the information I currently keep scattered across different apps. Every time I look for something, I have to remember where I wrote it down, or who sent it to me.
I never really got the hang of Notion or Obsidian. Now I’m trying out another tool to collect my data locally and make it searchable: text, voice messages, PDFs. Just being able to search all of it in one place is really appealing to me.
My doubts
Giving an agent access to all my WhatsApp messages? Well, I’m not there yet.
I can imagine lots of automations, but I’m still figuring out how to use this thing and how far I want to push it.
The right moment
I’d thought about this before, but today the time feels riper. So I’m giving it a go and getting familiar with it.
I told the rest of the story in A second brain to really delegate to AI assistants.
Do you have a second brain? Tell me which one under the video (it’s in Italian).
